Do It For The Lord by Tshlene Fields

Don’t look for affirmation and the approval of people because you may never get it. When it’s all said and done, it doesn’t matter because only what we do for Christ will last!

Do it for the Lord

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
Colossians 3:23 KJV

We started Pastoring at 28 years old. It wasn’t the popular choice. It wasn’t even what we would have chosen for ourselves, but it was God’s plan for our lives.

People said we were crazy. The same people that we loved and thought were in our corner said that we were going to fail. Some even felt that we were out of the Will of God. It was disheartening and overwhelming, to say the least. However, we knew it was God pulling us in the direction of Pastoring.

So in spite of what everyone thought, felt, and said, we accepted God's call.

In the beginning, we can remember feeling lonely, forsaken, and rejected. At the worst of times we even questioned if we had done the right thing.

What kept us going was God's promise! The strength that we received from being in His presence in prayer, encouraged us and pushed us forward.

Overtime God removed us from our old circles. He replaced it with new circles. Circles of people who believed in us and wanted us to make it not only as a family, but also in the ministry.

If we would have followed the words of men and not God then we would not be where we are today. We would have not seen the miracles, the favor, or the revival that we’ve seen in the last 4 years.

It’s important for us all to “DO IT FOR THE LORD!!!”

Not everyone is going to understand the Will of God for your life.

Not everyone is going to like it.

Not everyone is going to follow the Lord with you. You’re going to lose some people along the way.

What God is calling for in our lives isn’t going to be what’s popular.

So don’t look for affirmation and the approval of people because you may never get it. When it’s all said and done, it doesn’t matter because only what we do for Christ will last!

When we seek to do things with the wrong motives and intentions, it’s no longer about the Lord, but about pleasing the flesh and fulfilling worldly lusts.

What we do is not to please and look good in the sight of others, but it is simply to please the Lord.

Heartily means sincerely, genuinely, and from the heart.

Not for the likes or followers!
Not for the fame or validation!

We should do what we do to the Glory of God!
So we encourage you to answer the call, and get out there and do it.
Do It For The Lord!
